Congratulations to Carolyn La Rocco, who was elected to a four-year Career Development Research Fellowship in Early Medieval History at St John’s College, University of Oxford.  She will be conducting her own post-doctoral research project entitled “Female Patronage in the Early Medieval West (4th-9th centuries CE)”. The project expands upon research into late antique patronage (and the social and physical changes which accompanied it) that she conducted during her PhD in Ancient History at St Andrews in 2023 and her subsequent research fellowship at the RomanIslam Center for Comparative Empire and Transcultural Studies at the Universität Hamburg. Carolyn will start at her new post in September, and we wish her all the best!
