Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships in the Humanities

The University of St Andrews is offering three fully-funded scholarships for students starting a PhD programme in September 2018. Students working in history, literature and languages – including those of the ancient world – are eligible to apply. Students thinking of applying are encouraged to contact the Director of Postgraduate Studies and/or a prospective supervisor as soon as possible.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 15 November 2017.

Alice König joins Young Academy of Scotland

medium (8)Alice König was recently selected as a member of the RSE Young Academy of Scotland.

The academy was established in 2011 by the Royal Society of Edinburgh.  Its mission is to:

Foster interdisciplinary activities among emerging leaders from the disciplines of science and humanities, the professions, the arts, business and civil society. Established by the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2011, the Young Academy provides a platform for able and innovative young entrepreneurs, professionals and academics to develop a coherent and influential voice, and to address the most challenging issues facing society in Scotland and beyond.”
