I am very excited to announce the launch of the collaborative art project Catullan Identities. The aim of the project is to visualise identities and relationships in Catullus’ poetry through creative translations and adaptations of the poems. Everyone who is interested in poetry and creative art is very welcome to participate – no background knowledge is required.
This art project is part of the summer Laidlaw project Queer Catullus – the power of gender impersonation in creative art. I would like to thank my supervisor Dr Henry Stead for his advice and support of this project. Furthermore, I am very grateful for the Laidlaw Foundation for making this research project possible.
