Greg Woolf wins international prize

medium (6)Professor Greg Woolf has been awarded a prestigious Anneliese Maier Research Prize by the German Humboldt Foundation. These annual awards, each with a value of 250,000 euros (funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research), are made to world-class researchers in the humanities and social sciences for collaboration over a five-year period with academics at a German university. Greg Woolf will work with colleagues and postgraduates at the university of Erfurt, with whom he has a long-standing relationship, on a range of projects concerned with the religions of the Roman empire.
